The Celery Farm is a wildlife haven in suburban Bergen County. Lake Appert, the farm's centerpiece, is surrounded by 20 acres of freshwater marsh. Waterfowl, herons, and rails flock to the area. A nature photographer will have a field day shooting pictures of the creatures that call the area home. You can also enjoy a picnic lunch at the farm's gazebo.

The Celery Farm is accessible from the Franklin Turnpike. Take Route 17 northbound until it comes to a traffic light. Turn right at this intersection. Cottage Place is the next street on the left. Drive about five minutes and the Celery Farm will be on your left. Continue on Cottage Place until it reaches the Franklin Turnpike. After a few blocks, you will see the gated entrance to the farm.

If you are around Saddle River during the winter season, Campgaw Mountain Ski Area is a great place to ski and snowboard. The mountain has a variety of trails for all levels of skiers and riders. The ski area also has a terrain park with jumps, rails, and other obstacles. Campgaw is a great place to spend a winter day.
